A high-definition LED wall, custom-rigged for every venue. The technology is hidden behind a temple façade carved in MDF and finished by hand.

Music
Every show is performed to a live ensemble. Mridangam, tabla, harmonium, bansuri, and a full string section depending on the work. Original compositions only — never tracks, never lip-sync. The musicians sit downstage, in full view.

How does large-scale devotional theatre differ from traditional Ramlila?
Ramlila is the older form — tradition holds that community troupes have staged the Ramcharitmanas during Navratri for centuries, in neighbourhood grounds, with local casts and simple sets. Bhavya Kavikala Arts tells the same stories at theatrical scale: an ensemble of 60+ artists, costumes hand-stitched in its Jaipur atelier, a 40-foot LED backdrop rigged for each venue, and musicians playing live rather than a recorded track. An evening runs about two and a half hours, performed in Hindi. The devotion is shared; the stagecraft is the difference.
What does staging a devotional production with live music involve?
Months of parallel work before the first show. Costumes are designed and hand-stitched in the company's Jaipur atelier. The 40-foot LED backdrop is custom-rigged at each venue behind a hand-finished temple façade. The cast rehearses for weeks, six days a week, in a dedicated hall in Jaipur — and because nothing is mimed to a track, the musicians rehearse alongside them. Every performance is sung and played live, with vocals led by Kavitaa Singh and mridangam in the ensemble. All of it converges on a single evening of about two and a half hours.
