Devotional theatre themes

Twelve themes. One stage.

Bhavya Kavikala Arts stages grand devotional theatre in Jaipur — a repertoire of twelve sacred themes, eight on stage now, from Radha Krishna Leela and Meera Ke Mohan to Ramayan and Khatu Shyam. Each production is performed in Hindi by an ensemble of 60+ artists with live music on a 40-foot LED backdrop, and an evening runs about two-and-a-half hours. From the prison of Mathura to the burning of Lanka, every show opens a door into a story India has been telling for a thousand years.

One question we hear

Seeing the Ramayana live in Jaipur.

Where can you watch a live Hindi Ramayana stage show in Jaipur?

Two honest answers. During Navratri, neighbourhood Ramlila committees across Jaipur stage the Ramcharitmanas in community grounds — tradition holds these performances go back generations, and they remain the city’s oldest way to see the epic live. For a full theatrical staging in an auditorium, Bhavya Kavikala Arts performs Ramayan as part of its repertoire: a Hindi-language production with 60+ artists, live music and a 40-foot LED backdrop, running about two and a half hours. Dates are announced per show — enquire through the booking page.
